I have yet to find someone who likes queuing at ticket desks in Airports (shock, horror) so I’m a big fan of the self service kiosks. When you are on for instance an Aer Lingus flight you just simply type in your confirmation number, print your boarding card and head off for the departure gates.

So I was wondering when Ryanair would get around to using this system. Well it seems the day is near for many airports but sadly not Dublin Airport. Ryanair feel they are being charged unfair fees by the Dublin Airport Authority. They have permission to install the kiosks in Dublin Airport but are not willing to pay a floor space rental charge as they feel they are paying enough rent already.

Ryanair say they are being charged a third time for the same floor space for which they already pay a 25 thousand euro rental desk charge and the E15 departing passenger fee.

Ryanair will go ahead with its plans for self service kiosks at Stansted Airport as well as many more airports throughout Europe where they are not being charged any extra fees.

Of course we can guarantee you that you will pay no extra fee for your Airport car hire
